Covid-19 and Animals
You must have seen pictures of wild animals roaming the now empty streets of big cities. Tigers in New York and peacocks in Mumbai. You must have seen numerous photos of wild animals visiting human houses as if inquiring whether all is well.
Amidst this crisis of Covid-19, animals reclaiming more earth is one positive picture. As many countries have gone into lock-down, animals have started crossing the boundaries of cities and coming straight to our backyard.
But the question is whether the situation is really good for animals? Some say it is clear message from mother nature to humans that we don’t own the planet after all. Or is the Covid-19 affecting wildlife too? One theory suggests that the first human contracted it from a bat. There are multiple views to this question.
